Sergey Radchenko won first place in charity chess tournament Legal Chess 2019

On October 5th, 2019, the second charity chess tournament Legal Chess 2019 took place on Moscow City’s atrium of the Northern Tower. The event united representatives of legal community – lawyers, their colleagues, families and friends. The tournament was sponsored by the Pedagogical Chess Union (PCU) and supported by a number of law firms and legal entities. In 2019, the project Legal Chess managed to collect about 500 thousand rubles, directed to the treatment of Sonya Bolotova (14 years, p. Zhulidovka in Tambov region) and Grisha Grigoriev (20 years, Orenburg), wards of the charity fund “Give Life”.

Over 150 chess players of different age took part in the tournament. Age categories were children from 5 to 18 years (Groups C, D), and adult amateur and pro chess players (Groups A1, A2, B, E, F).

The format of the tournament was fast chess (15 minutes + 10 seconds per move and 10 minutes + 5 seconds per move). Groups A1, A2, B, C, D had 5 games, Group E had 7 games and a blitz game (3 minutes + 2 seconds per move), Group F had 11 games. Each Group’s results were sent for calculation of the international FIDE rating, as well as Russian ratings The calculation was carried out according to international standards on the online platform ChessResults.ru.

Sergey Radchenko, Senior associate of Advocates Bureau Yug, won over other 18 participants in Group A2 and took the first prize.
